To make new members feel at home, Bet Aviv has what we've affectionately dubbed the "buddy system".  The concept is simple, yet powerful.  We offer new members the option to be paired with a more established member for whatever level of support they mutually agree upon.  Initially members of our Board will serve as buddies.  Each new member who opts for a buddy will be assigned a Board member.  Some ways the buddies might interact are that the Board member may: 

• Call the new member to answer questions
• Invite the new member for Shabbat dinner
• Sit with the new member at Shabbat services
• Introduce the new members to others at services
• Invite the new member to attend Bet Aviv events.

The Buddy System is our way of making new members feel a part of our community from the start.
